The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) allows EU and EEA nationals living in the UK before the end of December 2020 to apply for the right of residence. Applicants will receive Pre-Settled Status if they had been living in the UK for less than five years or may be entitled to Settled Status if they had been living in the UK for five years or more. Settled status is equivalent to permanent residence and indefinite leave to remain.
The deadline to EUSS for new applications closed on 30th June 2021, however you will still be able to apply if you have pre-settled status and are now eligible for full settled status, or if you have a valid reason “reasonable grounds” for making a late application.
