Non-EEA or Swiss national looking to join their partner in the UK must first obtain a valid UK visa. Depending on the type of relationship you have with your partner, there are several different routes to a Spouse and Partner Visas
If you are not married and are in a serious committed relationship of two years or more then you can apply for an unmarried partner visa.If you intend to get married, or undergo a civil ceremony when in the UK you can apply for a fiance visa or proposed civil partner visa. Already married to your partner you will need to apply for a spouse visa or civil partnership.

The Health and Care Worker Visa is designed to encourage healthcare professionals such as qualified doctors, nurses, health professionals and adult social care professionals to apply to work in the UK. The benefits of the Health and Care Worker visa include fast-tracked entry and reduced visa fees and exemption from the Immigration Health Surcharge. To apply for the Health and Care Worker visa you will first need to be assigned a CoS by your UK sponsor (your employer), you will need to provide various documents in support of your application. Your immediate family members will be eligible to accompany or join you in the UK.
You can apply for a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK if you’re 16 or over and you have been offered a place on a course. You must also be able to speak, read, write and understand English and have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course. In addition, an unconditional offer of a place on a course with a licensed sponsor.
The UK's Global Talent Visa allows individuals with exceptional experience and credentials in their field of work to work in the UK. There are no requirements to make an investment or to evidence a minimum level of funds. The visa offers fast-tracked settlement in the UK after 3 years, rather than 5 years under the old Investor visa.
The route is open both to established talent as well as applicants showing promise and potential to become leaders in their field.

The Global Business Mobility visa can be separated into five subcategories. This new UK business visa replaces the business immigration categories such as Sole Representative and Intra Company Transfer (ICT) route. The Global Business Mobility visa does not lead to settlement, any permission in these routes will not count towards settlement should you wish to settle under another Points Based System Route.
You may be able to switch into another immigration route which does lead to settlement, but you cannot count leave under the Global Business Mobility route.

The Start-up visa is for individuals - entrepreneurs without a track record of running their own business seeking to set up and establish a new business in the UK.
Applicants must have an innovative, viable and scalable business idea approved by the Home Office endorsing body. There are no requirements to invest funds or secure funding at the initial start-up stage. The Start-up visa allows for your dependents to apply for leave to remain. You can only reach settlement if you switch into the innovator visa for a further three years.
The Innovator visa is available for individuals with previous experience of running their own business who are looking to set up a new innovative, viable and scalable business in the UK.
Applicants must present a new business idea. Applicants can work on their own as a sole founder, or as part of an entrepreneurial team. The business idea can relate to any sector and must be sufficiently innovative, viable and scalable.
